An apron sink, also known as a farmhouse sink, is a type of kitchen sink defined by its exposed front panel that extends beyond the edge of the surrounding cabinetry. Unlike traditional drop-in or undermount sinks that sit entirely within a countertop cutout, an apron sink projects forward, making the front face of the sink a visible design element.
