Surface defects can be controlled only when material handling, fabrication, brushing, cleaning, inspection, and packaging follow the same approved standard. Scratches, uneven grain, polishing shadows, welding marks, stains, and color differences should be prevented during production rather than repaired repeatedly at final inspection.
